The Dukes (1-5) were led by Alan Dorsey with 12 points.

Said James Madison Coach John Thurston: “I don’t think our effort was what it should be. I don’t know if it was awe or what. I just know I could tell we were in trouble when we came out to shoot yesterday. They came out and watched the five NCAA championship banners. They just looked around.”

Despite the easy win, Indiana Coach Bob Knight said: “This is a team that just makes too many mental mistakes. We made enough dumb plays last Saturday (in an overtime loss to Kentucky) to last a lifetime. We’ve just got to eliminate that.”

Washington State was led by David Sanders with 24 points, 19 in the first half. Todd Anderson added 20 points.
