Heather Willens of Palisades High School, one of the top girls’ tennis players in the nation in the 16-year-old division, won the City individual championship Monday with a 6-2, 6-1 victory over Andrea Lieberman of L.A. University at the Racquet Centre in North Hollywood.

It was the third time this season that Willens beat Lieberman.

The University team of Michelle Herman and Jennifer Spears won the doubles championship, rebounding from a first-set loss to beat Stacy Kolker and Gabriella Knizek of Van Nuys Grant, 4-6, 6-1, 6-3.

In the third-place matches, Sonja Panajotovic of L.A. Hamilton defeated Julie Oshiro of Gardena, 6-4, 6-4, in singles; and Jill Berger and Holly Levin won the doubles by default over their Palisades’ teammates, Diane Schwartz and Jennifer Norian.
