Giants to Play Phoenix June 16
The Triple-A Phoenix Firebirds will play the parent San Francisco Giants in an exhibition baseball game June 16 at Phoenix Municipal Stadium, the Pacific Coast League club announced Thursday.
The defending National League Western Division champion Giants and their top minor league affiliate played here last June 4 with San Francisco winning 5-1.
A crowd of 7,427 attended that game, prompting club officials to arrange another one. The 1988 game will start at 7:05 p.m. MST.
