Prep Soccer : Mater Dei 8-1 After Edging El Toro, 2-1

Tim Bambilia and Chris Mastropaolo scored in the first half as Mater Dei High School defeated El Toro, 2-1, Wednesday in a boys’ nonleague soccer match at Mater Dei.

Steve Montroz scored for El Toro. Goalie Mike Reise had seven saves for Mater Dei (8-1).
