COLLEGE BASKETBALL : Adams State Edges SCC, 88-86, on Shot at Buzzer
Greg Swofford made a 10-foot jump shot at the buzzer to give Adams State an 88-86 victory over Southern California College in the first round of the Southern Utah State men’s basketball tournament Tuesday at Cedar City, Utah.
Swofford led all scorers with 24 points.
Todd Dixon scored 24 for the Vanguards (3-7). Jim Manfield added 14 for SCC, which plays Colorado School of the Mines in the consolation game today.
Adams State led, 44-36, at halftime.
