Local News in Brief : Carson Band to Compete
Carson High will be among 12 schools in the Los Angeles Unified School District competing for top marching band honors in the Los Angeles Memorial Sports Arena Jan. 19. The 189-member Carson unit, the Colts Marching Band and Drill Team, won first place in each of the last five years for bands with 61 or more musicians.
The Carson band also will perform at the school’s 25th anniversary celebration on Feb. 10.
