Construction will begin by spring on a $13-million, 255,226-square-foot project that will include office, maintenance, automotive and storage space for the Los Angeles Department of Water and Power.
The 17-acre site bounded by Temple, Garey, Alameda and Ducommun streets already includes DWP industrial and parking space. The largest structure to be added will be a 177,800-square-foot building that will provide space for maintenance and repair jobs, storage areas and parking for more than 100 trucks.
Pasadena-based Clements & Clements Architects will handle most of the design duties. A general contractor has not been selected.
