Edward Bennett Williams, owner of the Baltimore Orioles, said he expects to sign a lease agreement with the Maryland Stadium Authority “very quickly” to play in the new Camden Yards stadium.
“I am not for moving franchises,” Williams told the Baltimore Sun.
Williams, 67, who has waged an 11-year battle against cancer, said he will not consider selling the team during his lifetime. “I did not buy it to sell,” he said.
