Women’s Basketball Roundup : Old Dominion Beats Long Beach

Liz Connahan scored 20 points as Old Dominion’s women’s basketball team defeated No. 9-ranked Cal State Long Beach, 85-76, Friday night at Norfolk, Va.
Old Dominion, winning for the sixth time in its last seven games, improved its record to 10-6.
Penny Toler scored 18 points to lead Long Beach (8-5).
USC 93, Arizona State 77--Cherie Nelson scored a career-high 39 points at the USC gym as the 16th-rated Trojans won their ninth straight game.
Tammy Hammond added 15 points for USC, which raised its record to 10-3 overall and 4-0 in the Pacific 10.
Stephanie Osburn and Shamona Mosley each had 15 points for Arizona State, which dropped to 5-8 and 1-4.
UCLA 87, Arizona 62--Sophomore forward Sandra VanEmbricqs scored a career-high 25 points and had 11 rebounds, and Dora Dome added 22 points as the Bruins beat the Wildcats at Wooden Center.
UCLA improved its record to 10-6 overall and 3-1 in the Pac-10. Arizona fell to 3-11 and 1-4.
