Davis Will Interview Bronco Assistant
Add Mike Shanahan, Denver’s offensive coordinator, to the list of candidates for the Raider coaching job.
Raider owner Al Davis called Bronco Coach Dan Reeves last week and received permission to talk to Shanahan. Davis is expected to interview Shanahan this week.
Shanahan, 35, has been with the Broncos for four seasons.
Others thought to be in the running include 49er assistants Dennis Green and George Seifert. Raider assistants who have applied include defensive coordinator Charlie Sumner, receiver coach Tom Walsh and linebacker coach Sam Gruniesen.
