The Minnesota Twins signed free-agent pitcher Charlie Lea, a right-handed ace with the Montreal Expos before running into arm trouble three years ago. Lea was signed to a one-year contract with the Twins’ farm club in Portland, Ore., but he will join the Twins at spring training in hopes he can becoming a starting pitcher.
