College Basketball : Dixon, Lightfoot Pace SCC Past Cal Lutheran
Todd Dixon scored 27 points and Mike Lightfoot added 20 to lead Southern California College past Cal Lutheran, 94-87, in a Golden State Athletic Conference game Saturday night at Cal Lutheran.
Steve Delaveaga led all scorers with 37 points for Cal Lutheran (11-11 overall, 6-2 in conference play). Mike Demeter added 19 points and James Faulk 18 for Cal Lutheran.
SCC (11-11, 6-2) led at halftime, 49-39.
In other men’s action:
Pacific Christian 79, Arizona College of the Bible 57--Pacific Christian overcame a 30-point performance by Jeff Weisinger to win at Cal State Fullerton. Mike DeVries had 17 points, Bill Edwards 13 and Brian Keiser 10 for Pacific Christian (24-4).
In a women’s game:
Chapman 81, Cal State Los Angeles 58--Karan Polk had 24 points and 12 assists and Jennifer Uecke added 18 points to lead host Chapman (11-8, 3-3) in a California Collegiate Athletic Assn game. Tina Slatinsky had a team high 18 points for Cal State L.A. (9-10, 1-5).
