Girls’ Basketball : Thousand Oaks Completes League Season Undefeated

Barbara Tanner scored a game-high 18 points as Thousand Oaks defeated Royal, 64-27, to wrap up Marmonte League play with a 12-0 record Tuesday at Royal.

Tanner’s points give the senior a single-season school-record 407; teammate Kris Pederson scored eight points to eclipse 800 for her career, also a school record.

Thousand Oaks heads into the playoffs 23-3 overall. Royal dropped to 3-8 in league play.

Canoga Park 62, Birmingham 39--The Hunters clinched at least a tie for third place in the West Valley League at Birmingham behind Stephanie Delange’s 23 points and 8 assists.

Caryl Lee scored 14 points and Pearlyn Harris added 11 for Canoga Park (8-5, 6-3).

Amy Rubenroit led Birmingham (4-5 in league play) with 18 points.

Poly 65, Verdugo Hills 31--Thylliss Jordahl (18 points, 17 rebounds) and Julie Dawson (13 points, 13 rebounds) led the Parrots in the Pac-6 League game at Verdugo Hills.

Campbell Hall 36, Providence 32--Tracey Sylvester had 14 rebounds and Margaret Archer had 11 to help Campbell Hall in the Delphic League game at home.

Crissy Mills led Campbell Hall (13-5, 9-2) with 10 points.

North Hollywood 57, Grant 30--Although the Huskies played without two starters, they rolled in the West Valley League game at Grant.

Leticia Carranza scored 14 points, Gwen Mickelson had 11 and Sandrine Rocher added 11 rebounds for North Hollywood.

San Fernando 42, Sylmar 36--Kristie Flukers had 22 rebounds and 9 points to lead San Fernando in the Pac 6 League game at San Fernando.

Tonetta Cooper and Carolyn Fox each added eight rebounds for the Tigers (7-6, 7-2) and Cooper scored 12 points.
