Lazers Bidding for a Sweep Over Force
The Lazers will have an opportunity to shut the door on a former nemesis when they play host to the Cleveland Force tonight at 7:30 at the Forum.
Before this season, the Lazers were 1-15 against the Force. But the Lazers have won all three meetings this season, and a victory tonight would sweep the series.
The Lazers (18-18), a half-game behind the second-place Kansas City Comets in the Major Indoor Soccer League’s Western Division, are coming off a 7-6 overtime victory over the Chicago Sting. Having played only three home games during February, the Lazers play five of their next seven at the Forum, where they have a two-game winning streak.
Cleveland (20-20) trails the Eastern Division-leading Minnesota Strikers by four games, having last played Feb. 27 when it lost to the Chicago, 7-6, in double overtime.
