Second Place Still Has a Silver Lining
The question of what happened to our athletes in Calgary is getting as trite as ABC’s continual commercial breaks. People are quick to lay blame rather than facing a realization that they don’t want to think about. Perhaps it isn’t the coaching, perhaps it isn’t the facilities, perhaps it isn’t the financing. Could we possibly accept the notion that there is somebody better than us? Maybe, just maybe, we aren’t the biggest kid on the block anymore.
