Ex-Lazer Coach Sues Buss for $360,000
Peter Wall, former coach of the Lazers, sued the club and its owner, Jerry Buss, Friday for $360,000.
Wall, fired by the Lazers on Jan. 26, 1987, accused the Major Indoor Soccer League team in a Los Angeles Superior Court suit of breach of contract and civil conspiracy in refusing to pay him $79,166, plus 10% annual interest.
Wall, a native of England, coached the Lazers for more than four years.
The suit said Buss and the team attempted to get him to accept a lesser amount and through “intimidation and overbearingness” tried to get him to waive rights to payment.
The suit seeks $79,166 in general damages, $200,000 in punitive damages and $80,000 in other damages.
