The Oscars aren’t the only awards in town--certainly not these days. Latest kudos come from the Retirement Research Foundation and it’s National Media Owl awards, which honor outstanding films, videotapes and television programs about aging. Among winners: first prize in film, “The Whales of August.” Second prize to producer Dorothea Petrie’s “Hallmark Hall of Fame” production of “Foxfire.”
