Prep Baseball : Orange Lutheran Scores 27-3 Victory in 4 1/2 Innings

Orange Lutheran High School had 18 hits and routed Southern California Christian, 27-3, in an Olympic League game Tuesday that was called because of a mercy rule after 4 1/2 innings.
Tim McCann had a two-run home run in the first inning, his fifth of the season, for Orange Lutheran (14-5 overall, 3-1 in league play).
In the Academy League:
Liberty Christian 15, St. Michael’s 1--Chris Buckels went 3 for 4 and pitched a 1-hitter for visiting Liberty Christian (7-4, 3-2).
In the Century league:
Foothill 4, El Modena 2--Kent Donnelly (2-1) struck out eight, walked eight and allowed four hits for host Foothill (10-6, 5-1). El Modena’s Marcus Esposito struck out 11, but took the loss.
Canyon 8, Villa Park 1--Ralph Pacheco had two doubles and three RBIs and scored two runs to lead Canyon (11-5, 4-2) over Villa Park at Fullerton College. John Cummings (4-2) threw a three-hitter for Canyon.
Santa Ana 11, Santa Ana Valley 0--Santa Ana’s George Corachure (2-1) was the winning pitcher and also had three RBIs in Santa Ana’s 10-run third inning. Octavio Medina and Phillip Flores each were 2 for 4 with one RBI for Santa Ana (9-7, 4-2).
In a nonleague game:
St. Margaret’s 21, Pacific Shores 1--Host St. Margaret’s (4-7) had 17 hits, including 7 extra-base hits. Dann Campaigne had three hits and four RBIs.
