Freshman right-hander Jakob Jensen pitched a no-hitter and had nine strikeouts as Highland Hall defeated Newbridge, 7-0, in a Westside League game Friday at Highland Hall.

Jensen also broke up Newbridge pitcher Erec Fitzgerald’s no-hit bid with a run-scoring triple in the sixth inning, the first of six hits in the inning for the Hawks.

Seth Ernsdorf followed two batters later with a two-run triple, but two unearned runs in the second were all Jensen needed. He induced Newbridge batters to ground out 10 times. The Voyagers did not hit a ball out of the infield.
