Foothill Invitational : Larson, Eggert Win 2 Events in Swimming

Greg Larson of Villa Park High School and Kevin Eggert of Capistrano Valley each won two events Friday in the Foothill Invitational swim meet boys’ preliminaries at Foothill High School.
Larson won the 200-meter freestyle (1 minute 43.19 seconds) and 500-meter freestyle (4:35.14). Eggert won the 200--meter individual medley (1:58.43) and 100-meter breaststroke (1:00.62).
John Cady of San Marino won the 50-meter freestyle (21:80), Ron Scott of Foothill won the 100-meter butterfly (51.92), Don Flood of Capistrano Valley won the 100-meter freestyle (47.85) and Jason Cox of Marina won the 100-meter backstroke (56:13).
The top six finishers in each event qualify for the finals, which will be held today starting at 2:30 p.m. at Foothill.
