Leo Gamez of Venezuela knocked down Japanese challenger Kenji Yokozawa in the second round and then stopped him in the third round to retain his World Boxing Assn. minimumweight title.
Gamez (18-0) weighed 105 pounds and Yokozawa (10-8-2) weighed 104 1/2.
