Kirk, Lee Invited to Play in Soccer Showcase

Joey Kirk and Thor Lee of Cal State Northridge have been invited to compete in the Budweiser Soccer Classic, an indoor all-star tournament that will be held June 16 at the Richfield Coliseum in Cleveland.
The four-team, 60-player event, involves a weeklong tryout in front of Major Indoor Soccer League coaches and is followed by the MISL college draft on June 17.
Kirk, an All-American forward from Granada Hills, scored 30 goals and had 17 assists last season for Northridge, which finished second in Division II. Lee, a 1986 All-American sweeper from Newbury Park, had nine goals and 10 assists last season.
