Moorpark Eliminated in JC Softball Playoffs

Moorpark College was unable to hold a 2-0 lead in the seventh inning as San Diego Mesa rallied for a 5-2 victory in 11 innings in a Southern California junior college softball playoff Sunday at Moorpark.
The loss eliminated the Lady Raiders (26-12-1) from the 16-team regional tournament.
San Dieo Mesa (28-12) advances to the state championship tournament Friday in Hayward, Calif.
