4.0 Quake Rattles Bay Area

MORGAN HILL, Calif. —
A moderate earthquake rattled communities in the southern San Francisco Bay Area this morning, but there were no reports of damage or injury. The temblor struck at 8:26 a.m. and was centered 7 miles east of Morgan Hill, registering up to 4.0 on the Richter scale, seismologists said.
