Gregg Olson, the Baltimore Orioles’ 1988 top draft choice, has decided to pass up playing for the U.S. Olympic baseball team and will join the Orioles. Olson, the fourth pick overall in baseball’s college draft last month, will work out briefly with Baltimore before being assigned to one of the team’s minor-league affiliates, according to the Baltimore Evening Sun.
