The CIF has determined that, because of a recording error, Fallbrook High School’s Brent Noon finished second--not third, as originally recorded--in the shotput at the state championships at Cerritos College last month. Noon has been placed second with a throw of 62-3 and San Benito High’s Joe Hicks third at 62-0 3/4, according to Margaret Davis, associate commissioner of athletics for the CIF. Huntington Beach Edison’s Kaleaph Carter was the winner. Noon is entering his junior year.
