Two men were killed and two seriously injured Friday when a car driven by an allegedly drunken driver went off a curve on the Sierra Highway in Agua Dulce and rolled over, the California Highway Patrol reported.

CHP officials said the car traveling south went off the road about three miles north of Agua Dulce Canyon Road at 1 a.m. It rolled over and ejected the driver, Francisco Miguel Mejia, 35, before stopping in a drainage ditch.

Mejia suffered head and chest injuries as did a 17-year-old passenger, whose name was unavailable, officials said. Two other passengers, Mejia’s brother, Samuel Mejia, 33, and Melquiades Miguel, 32, were killed.

The four occupants of the car lived in the same Agua Dulce house. The two survivors were transported in serious condition to Henry Mayo Newhall Memorial Hospital after the accident.

CHP officials said Francisco Mejia was placed under arrest at the hospital on suspicion of felony drunk driving and vehicular manslaughter.
