All-Pro linebacker Fredd Young, absent for virtually all of the Seattle Seahawks’ training camp because he was unhappy with his contract, missed the team’s flight from Seattle to Denver for its season opener against the Broncos, a club spokesman said.
The Seahawks, who were granted a two-week roster exemption from the league for Young, had planned to activate him for the Denver game although he had reported just last Sunday after a 31-day holdout. He practiced with the Seahawks Wednesday, Thursday and Friday but not Saturday.
