Aztecs’ Basketball Star Jessica Haynes is Ineligible

San Diego State women’s basketball star Jessica Haynes has been declared academically ineligible and will not play for the Aztecs this season, Athletic Director Fred Miller announced.
Haynes, a 6-0 senior forward, started for SDSU the past three years and averaged 16.2 points per game and 12.1 rebounds per game in the 1987-88 season.
The Northwestern University Alumni Club of San Diego will host a dinner Thursday at 5:30 p.m. at the La Jolla Country Club. Northwestern’s men’s basketball coach Bill Foster is the scheduled guest speaker.
Cost for the dinner is $15 for alumni members, $20 for guests. For information call 270-8848.
