Joseph Jezulin kicked a 44-yard field goal at the beginning of the fourth quarter and El Camino College withstood an Orange Coast rally for a 10-9 victory Saturday night in a Mission Conference football game at Orange Coast.

Orange Coast (1-1 overall, 0-1 in conference play) narrowed the deficit to one point with 2 1/2 minutes left when a center snap slipped through the hands of El Camino quarterback Frank Dolce and went out of the end zone for a safety.

The Pirates returned the El Camino free kick to their 39. Four plays later, El Camino cornerback Stefan Smith intercepted a Mike Angelovic pass at the El Camino 20 to end the Pirate threat.
