Candidates Clash in First TV Debate

Share

Who won the debate? Irrelevant. Each made it clear where he stands. One offers much needed change. One thinks we’ve never had it so good, promises more of the same and proclaims, “We are the change.”

Neither strays far from the party platforms adopted at the conventions. So, show on the road, the prime-time commercials, the tough talk, the straight talk, the views and interviews all seem redundant. The choice is clear.

Which man has the cleaner record, which the doer, which the talker? Which one can we trust? Which is the true patriot?
