Steve Clark, a former assistant coach at UC Davis and UC Irvine, has been named men’s tennis coach at Chapman College, Athletic Director Walt Bowman announced Wednesday.

Clark replaces Mike Edles, who left in August to take a similar position at Cal State Hayward.

Chapman has won the NCAA Division II championship three times in the past four years, including the past two seasons. This will be Clark’s first head coaching position.
