Santa Clara 16, Agoura 3--Quarterback Tim Gutierrez completed 11 of 20 passes for 227 yards and 2 touchdowns to lead the Saints in a Frontier League opener at Oxnard High.

Agoura, the league’s defending champion, held the explosive Santa Clara passing attack in check until 1:34 remained in the first half when Gutierrez hit wide receiver Matt Young streaking down the sideline for a 70-yard touchdown pass and a 7-3 lead.
