Chuck Snay scored 5 goals, and Jay Snay intercepted a pass with 30 seconds remaining to help Poway defeat USDHS, 10-9, in a San Diego Section semifinal water polo game at the La Jolla Jewish Community Center Wednesday.

Poway will play defending section champion Coronado in the final Saturday at 7:30 p.m. at the same site. Coronado defeated Monte Vista, 18-11, behind Tom Mitchell’s 6 goals.

USDHS, which reached the section final last year, was within 10-9 in the final minute when Snay intercepted the pass in front of the Poway goal. Poway was then able to run out the clock.
