Granada Hills 5, Grant 2--Alisha Portnoy, the Highlanders’ No. 1 singles player, defeated Gabriela Knizek, 6-4, 6-3, to lead Granada Hills at the Studio City Racquet Club.

In other semifinals at Studio City:

Kennedy 4, University 3--Jodi Gutstein and Bonnie Kim, Kennedy’s top doubles team, defeated Annette Bak and Debbie Nussboum, 6-2, 5-7, 6-1, to lead the Golden Cougars.

Taft 7, Birmingham 0--Julie Koppekin beat Allison Latt, 6-1, 6-1, to lead Taft.

Taft’s Morgan Doctor defeated Lisa Feldsher, 7-6 (7-3), 6-2.

Palisades 7, North Hollywood 0--Heather Willens and Tiffany Webb led Palisades with singles wins.
