Vista
The body of an 18-year-old man was found early Thursday inside a refrigerator in a Vista apartment that had been vacant for several weeks, the San Diego County Sheriff’s Department reported.
Rogelio Coria was found by the building manager at 10:30 a.m. when the apartment, in the 500 block of E. Los Angeles Drive, was being cleaned between rentals, sheriff’s spokesman Al Bates said Friday.
Bates said Coria, who had been dead for two or three days, had no apparent injuries indicating a fall or assault. An autopsy will be performed to help determine the cause of death.
Coria probably was already dead when he was placed inside the refrigerator, since it can be opened from the inside, Bates said.
