Six Orange County high school runners have been selected to represent the United States in Shanghai, China, as members of the Southern California TAC/USA cross-country team.

About 80 California students compose the first-ever U.S. cross-country team to compete in Shanghai. Those county competitors are Joel Adair and David Pacino from Brea-Olinda High School, Richard Matson from El Toro, Rochelle Clark from Dana Hills, David Schultz from St. Margaret’s and Rajesh Vachani from Irvine.

The Athletic Congress, the official governing body for cross-country and track and field in the United States, is working with the International Sports Exchange Program to arrange the trip.
