Clairemont 76, Patrick Henry 70--Clairemont’s Ray McDavid had a triple-double with 25 points, 17 rebounds and 10 assists to lead the Chieftains in an upset of Patrick Henry. The Patriot’s Terrence Hamilton, who has signed a letter of intent with San Diego State, was forced to leave the game with a sprained ankle with 1 minute 12 seconds remaining and Clairemont holding a 68-66 lead. With Hamilton (25 points) out, Clairemont pushed the lead to 76-67.

Lincoln 88, Southwest 68--A 25-point effort by Lincoln’s Joe Temple and matching 20-point games from teammates Darryl McMillan and Darran Wilhite helped improve the Hornets to 5-0. Victor Dean added 17 for Lincoln. McMillan had 14 rebounds, and Temple and Wilhite had 13. Southwest dropped to 3-2.

Valhalla 78, Madison 75--Valhalla’s Rafid Kiti scored with less than 20 seconds remaining to send the game into overtime, where Valhalla outscored the Warhawks, 5-2. Kiti had a game-high 28 points and Tony Clark added 25. Despite a diamond-and-one defense geared to stop him, Robby Robinson scored 24 points and had 8 rebounds before fouling out with 2 minutes left in regulation. Brad Eaddy scored 17 points and pulled down 14 rebounds for Madison.

Savanna (Anaheim) 62, Fallbrook 42--Visiting Fallbrook didn’t have a player in double figures and dropped its second consecutive game to Savanna. Chris Miller led Fallbrook (2-2) with 8 points. John Adbi led Savanna (5-0) with 22.
