Aaron Pryor, a former boxing champion and a recovering drug addict, will step back into the ring tonight in Rochester, N.Y., to begin his third comeback try. Pryor, who won 35 straight fights in the early 1980s, reigned as junior welterweight champion for 5 years before his career was halted by cocaine abuse.
His most recent previous comeback in April 1987, resulted in his only loss, a knockout by Bobby Joe Young.
Tonight, he will fight Herminio Morales, 24, of Chicago, who has been knocked out in his last 5 fights and has a 10-5-1 record.
