Cal State Dominguez Hills’ hot-and-cold men’s basketball team was as chilly as the weather last week in losing a home game to Cal State Hayward, 74-60. Hayward came into the game 2-8 and with only 8 players. The loss dropped the Toros, who shot only 36%, to 4-4.

Loyola Marymount’s talented junior guard Bo Kimble had a first last week when he was shut out in a 115-111 loss to DePaul. Kimble, trying to shake off a knee injury, had never been held scoreless in a Loyola uniform but was 0 for 7.
