LAS CRUCES, N.M. —
Seniors Johnny Roberson and Jeff McCool scored 17 points apiece Tuesday night and Willie Joseph added 14 as New Mexico State defeated San Jose State, 76-68, in Big West Conference action.
The win snapped a two-game losing streak for New Mexico State, 9-5 overall and 2-2 in the conference. The Spartans, led by guard Steve Haney with a game-high 24 points, are 5-9 and 1-4.
