Forward Hank Gathers of Loyola Marymount announced that he will remain in school for his senior season rather than enter the National Basketball Assn. draft.

As a junior, the 6-foot-7 Gathers became just the second player to lead the National Collegiate Athletic Assn. in scoring, with a 32.7-point average, and rebounding, 13.7, in the same season.
