Saddleback Gains Share of Ojai Tennis Title

Saddleback College rallied behind its doubles team of Jamil Atcha and Gavin Fenske to gain a share of the men’s community college team title at the Ojai Valley tennis tournament Sunday.

Saddleback trailed Santa Barbara City by a point, but Atcha and Fenske defeated Sean Angel and Dayne Gingerich, 4-6, 7-5, 6-4, to force a tie. The teams finished with 16 points each. West Valley and Orange Coast tied for third with 11 points.

Billy Miller of Santa Barbara City defeated Ed Peregrino of Saddleback, 6-2, 6-3, to win the singles title.
