Lisa Strawberry filed for divorce from New York Mets outfielder Darryl Strawberry, citing irreconcilable differences after four years of marriage.
In her Superior Court petition, Lisa Strawberry seeks sole custody of the couple’s two children, Darryl Jr., 3, and Diamond, 11 months. The children are currently living with their mother in Altadena. The pair separated Wednesday, according to the petition.
Lisa Strawberry filed for a legal separation in January 1987, accusing her husband of violent behavior and of breaking her nose after a National League championship seriesgame. That petition was dismissed in November after the couple apparently reconciled.
