LOCAL : Nearby Counties Feel 2 Mild Quakes
Two mild earthquakes rumbled through San Bernardino and Riverside counties early today, awakening some residents but causing no damage or injuries, authorities said.
The first quake, measuring magnitude 3.5, struck at 2:33 a.m. near Redlands. Five hours later and 25 miles away, a magnitude 3.0 quake rattled the Crestline area, Robert Finn of Caltech in Pasadena said, adding that it wasn’t known whether the temblors were related. The 7:23 a.m. quake, located 10 miles north of San Bernardino and 60 miles east of Los Angeles, was barely felt.
