Reseda’s Kyman Wins Award in Volleyball
Coley Kyman, who led Reseda High to consecutive City Section volleyball titles, has been named the 3-A Division Player of the Year.
Kyman, a 6-foot-5 senior, led Reseda to a 16-2 record this season and a win over Bell in the title match. Kyman, who also played football and basketball, has signed to play volleyball at Cal State Northridge.
Kyman is joined on the first team by his brother, Bobby, and teammate Scott Kent. Sylmar’s Bruce Sakamoto also is a first-team selection.
Second-team picks include Reseda’s Joe Kretchet and David Tverskoy and Sylmar’s Steve O’Connell.
Included on the third team are Reseda’s Jeff Coles and Quang Lam, North Hollywood’s Nestor Marroquin and Sylmar’s Steve Sapera.
