Rodriguez Second in 3,000 Meters at Invitational

Jimmy Rodriguez of Santa Ana Valley High School placed second in the 3,000 meters at the Golden West Invitational track meet at Sacramento Saturday. Rodriguez had a time of 8 minutes 22.26 seconds.
Doug Nichols of Edison placed third in the 800 meters with a time of 1:52.0.
Mike Nielsen of Mater Dei placed eighth in the mile with a time of 4:18.0.
