SportScope : N. Torrance Little Leaguer Named Bat Boy for Dodger Game
Dominic Abbott of North Torrance West Little League will be the honorary bat boy for the Dodgers-Atlanta game Friday night as part of the annual Northrop Night at Dodger Stadium. Abbott, 10, is a pitcher-infielder for the Minor Division Indians. His mother, Susan, an employee at Northrop, coaches the team.
Striker Jeff Hooker was named Player of the Week in the Western Soccer League for tallying a pair of goals and an assist to lead the L.A. Heat into a first-place tie in the South Division with a 4-2 victory at Arizona last week. The Heat plays host to Seattle on Sunday at West Torrance High at 5 p.m.
