The State - News from June 22, 1989
An earthquake shook a wide area of Northern California, but there were no reports of damage or injury. The magnitude 4.2 temblor was felt over a huge area from Sacramento to the coastline and from Santa Cruz County to Solano County. The UC Berkeley seismological station said the quake was centered near the Contra Costa County community of Pittsburg.
