The Arts & Entertainment Network will present special programs during July to celebrate the bicentennial of the French Revolution. The centerpiece will be a July 14 presentation, “Paris Live! The French Revolution Bicentennial,” a six-hour gala including a performance of “The Marseillaise” by American opera star Jessye Norman and coverage of a sound-and-light show and parade. Other programs coming along during the month include a four-part documentary on “The French Revolution,” French-made films on the “Screening Room” series and French-inspired theater pieces on “A&E; Stage.”
